Catering concept for GVB that contributes to health
VFM assisted the Amsterdam city transport company GVB in the tendering for a new catering concept, and its implementation, with attention paid to health and the various user groups. A key ambition of GVB was the realisation of customer-oriented catering with a creative and flexible range, with attention paid to the needs of the various user groups. Another goal of GVB for the tendering process was to select a provider who fit in with the ‘GVB Healthy’ programme: the preventive health programme intended to make all GVB employees aware of a healthy lifestyle and its influence on quality of life.
Our working method
VFM was asked to translate this ambition into the right invitation to tender within the European tendering guidelines. VFM supervised the European tendering process and provided support in the implementation of the new catering concept at the three locations, including the head office on Arlandaweg. The concept of the company restaurants, the coffee service and banqueting are now all in line with the ambitions of GVB.
Result and added value
ISS facility services won the tendering process with its ‘De Wissel’ (‘The Switch’) concept. Within this concept, there is a great deal of attention for the specific needs of various employees of GVB. The agreement will be valid for at least 4 years. The result is a new catering concept which is in line with the vision and ambition of GVB and actually meets the needs of the customer.
